Onsite carpentry
As work progressed into 2009, more effort was required on the carpentry front. The cavalry charge took the form of Mike Moody (Centre Line Marine Ltd 07793 058623), Kevin Clark, Paul Hardy (www.jp-marine.co.uk 07516505236) and Chris Wood (07518708763).
Mike completed his apprenticeship at Fairlie Yacht Restorations, Hamble, whilst Paul and Chris had recently completed working on another classic in Ireland. We had to invest in another kettle for the shed and acquired a working fridge from the yard’s skip. The Maybird café took shape and work progressed amidst the dolcit tones of Radio 2.
